maars is an artist space founded to explore all things space and space related – 
(domestic) space | (physical) space | (outer) space
Located on 5 acres of desert land outside of Joshua Tree, CA, we host artists for temporary exhibitions as well as to use the space for video and photo projects.
The inaugural structure on maars, V1, was built within the technical constraints of manufactured materials to minimize waste. Exterior angles maximize solar capabilities in lower output months and interior angles allow for adaptable living accommodations.
